A Simple Fall Porch | On The Creek Blog // www.onthecreekblog.com

Check out my super simple last minute fall front porch using yard sale finds!

Happy Halloween!

I know I’m super late with the whole ‘fall porch’ trend, but better late than never, right?!

Honestly, I didn’t even know that I was going to do a fall porch until yesterday anyway!

The thing about our porch is that it isn’t a true front porch.  Our steps don’t run straight down like a normal porch.  Actually, lets back up a little bit…before we bought our house, our front porch didn’t even have a set of steps.  It was just doors that led to a porch.  No steps at all.  The entrance to the house was the side door with a tiny porch.  One of the first things we did when we purchased our house was to add steps to the front.  The easiest way to accomplish this was to just take off the railing & add steps to the side.

'Resting Witch Face' free printable & canvas art | On The Creek Blog // www.onthecreekblog.com

Download a free ‘Resting Witch Face’ printable & check out the canvas I made!

With Halloween being only 2 days away, I thought I’d sneak in one more Halloween free printable!

I’m having so much fun creating this mixed media canvas art & I love how this one turned out!  As you can tell, I’m keeping it simple for now.  I’m not comfortable enough to tackle more advanced projects just yet!

This was the last canvas I created using the materials I already had on hand.  I created the black canvas background some time ago, so all I had to do was finish it & add my letters.  I found a gold paint pen for the letters & finished it off with a coat of Mod Podge.

So…here’s the thing:

I’m not an artist.

As much as I want to, I’ll never be someone who creates magnificent art.  I try to be proficient at a lot of different art types, but I don’t think I’ll ever be super great at anything. I love to experiment with different art, though!

Here’s something weird about me:  I like to do something to the max for a while & then completely abandon it.  Like I’ll eat the same meal for days & then wait months & months before I’ll have it again.

Harvest Blessings Dollar Store Fall WreathHarvest Blessings Dollar Store Fall WreathHarvest Blessings Dollar Store Fall Wreath

I mentioned yesterday that I usually put ‘Dollar Tree randomness’ on my two front doors because it’s incredibly difficult to find two matching wreaths when thrift shopping (& that’s the only way I buy wreaths!), so I thought I would show you the current randomness going on!

I’m finally done with my arboretum edits!  It took forever…only because I had so many pictures that I loved!  I guess that’s a good problem to have!

These photos were taken at the Holden Arboretum in Kirtland, Ohio!
