5 different ways to display Christmas wreaths in the kitchen!

After my post last week about Kitchen Christmas decor, I started thinking about all of the ways to display Christmas wreaths in the kitchen.  I had a few of these Dollar Tree wreaths, so I decided to do a little photo shoot with them!  I came up with 5 different ways to display the wreaths & I’ll be highlighting them below…so let’s get started!

new kitchen cabinet door hinges | on the creek blog // www.onthecreekblog.comHey there, Besties! 🌟

Ever find yourself on a seemingly endless quest to sprinkle that last pinch of perfection into your home? Well, gather around because I've got a tale from the heart of our kitchen that's all about the little things making a huge impact. Let's talk about the transformative journey of our kitchen cabinet door hinges! 🚪✨

Our kitchen makeover a few years back was a whirlwind of creativity and hard work, touching every corner except, oddly enough, the door hinges. They were the silent bystanders, clinging to their posts as we danced around them, deeming them "good enough" amid the flurry of change. But, as with all things in our cozy nooks that don't quite fit, they started whispering to me, becoming impossible to ignore. 🤔

Picture this: whenever I waltzed into the kitchen, those old hinges caught my eye, like uninvited guests at a gala, clashing with the elegance around them. It became my daily mantra, "Today's the day I'll swap them out," Yet, days turned into months. 🕰️new kitchen cabinet door hinges | on the creek blog // www.onthecreekblog.com

Fast forward to a serendipitous trip to Home Depot (because what's a weekend without a little DIY scouting, right?), where we stumbled upon the perfect match for our door pulls. It was like finding the missing piece of a puzzle – a moment of DIY serendipity! I gleefully snagged those value packs of hinges, a little splurge for peace of mind and aesthetic harmony. 💸✨

Oh, but the plot thickens, dear friends. This hinge swap was but a chapter in the ongoing saga of our kitchen's transformation. Peeling paint and wearied cabinets had been casting a shadow over our culinary haven, a stark reminder of the sealing step I'd skipped in our initial remodel. The plan? A kitchen cabinet repaint and the grand debut of our new hinges. 🎨🛠️

Here's a sneak peek into the hinge upgrade saga, with before and after snapshots that capture the essence of change. It's amazing how such a small detail can reignite the love for a space we thought we knew inside out. And, for those eagle-eyed among you, that's a hint of our new cabinet color making its cameo alongside our shiny new hinges. A subtle change, but in our DIY journey, every brushstroke counts. 📸💖

Because in this grand adventure, we call home improvement, the smallest details craft the story of our homes.

I couldn’t find them online, but here’s what the 10 pack looked like!

Replacing the door hinges was a tiny part of my plan. For the last 6 months or so, my entire kitchen itself has really been bothering me. When we remodeled our house about 3 years ago, I painted our cabinets, but they showed severe wear. I didn’t seal them well enough & the paint started to chip in places & the doors just looked icky overall. So the plan was to repaint my kitchen cabinets & apply the new hinges!

I’ll share our repainting adventure in another post, but here are the hinges for now! The pictures above show the old hinges & now the new hinges. I think it makes a big difference & I’m so happy that they match now!

PS: You can also get a sneak peek of our new cabinet color in the above photo with the old hinges! It’s not a big difference, but it was time to repaint!

A Rustic Christmas Touch

Living in our snug log home means traditional decor doesn't always fit the bill. Our kitchen, lacking a conventional backsplash, yearned for a sprinkle of Christmas magic. Enter the adorable Dollar Tree wreaths, which found their perfect home there, bringing just the right amount of holiday cheer without overwhelming the space. It's like they were meant to be!

Decorating, Tiff-Style: Spontaneous & Sweet

If there's one thing you should know about me, it's that I'm all about embracing the beauty of the spur-of-the-moment. Planning? Not in my vocabulary! I prefer decor that's as spontaneous and delightful as a midnight cookie run. These wreaths? They're my kind of last-minute magic, effortlessly infusing our kitchen with holiday warmth.

The Scent of Christmas Wonder

And because no Christmas scene is complete without the comforting aroma of the season, I stumbled upon the most enchanting "Frosted Winter Berries" candle at JoAnn Fabric & Crafts. A serendipitous find in the checkout line (for under $8, no less!), its scent is a hug in candle form. While I couldn't spot it online, the store was brimming with these fragrant treasures, alongside a bounty of other holiday scents, all beckoning with the promise of sale tags.

Share Your Holiday Heart

I'm curious, Besties, what's your holiday decorating rhythm? Are you a meticulous planner, or do you dance to the tune of impromptu elegance like me? Either way, I believe that the most beautiful decor comes from the heart, reflecting this special season's unique joy and love.

Let's fill our homes with not just decorations but with memories and moments that twinkle brighter than the most elaborately lit tree. After all, isn't that what Christmas is truly about? 🎄💫❤️

A Dash of Creativity for Baking Bliss

Tucked away above my spice shelf, my baking supplies were begging for a spotlight during this cookie-crafting season. So, I thought, why not give my mason jars a starring role? Not only do they add a touch of rustic charm to my kitchen, but they also make grabbing that all-important flour or sugar as easy as pie.

Simple & easy Christmas decorating using old mason jars & Dollar Tree flowers! | on the creek blog // www.onthecreekblog.com

Hey there, Besties! 🌟

With the holiday season twinkling on the horizon, I found myself tangled in a bit of a decorating dilemma. The festive spirit was calling, but my heart yearned for simplicity. That's when the magic of vintage mason jars paired with Dollar Tree's floral finesse came to the rescue!

A Love Affair with Mason Jars

My thrift store adventures often lead me to the humble mason jar aisle, where these glass treasures whisper tales of potential. Admittedly, my collection has grown perhaps a tad too ambitiously, with grand visions of decor that, until now, remained just a dream.

A Christmas Revelation

This year, my Christmas decorating spirit flickered to life a bit slowly, like a vintage string of lights warming up to its full glow. I needed a simple yet heartfelt way to welcome the holiday cheer into our home. And then, inspiration struck through my previously showcased Dollar Tree Christmas decor venture like the perfect plot twist in our favorite holiday movie.

The Creation of a Festive Oasis

Armed with newfound enthusiasm, I returned to Dollar Tree, eyes gleaming with the vision of the perfect floral arrangement. This time, I embraced the holiday palette more fully with two bouquets of white poinsettias and a dash of red filler to weave in a pop of traditional Christmas color. An old Atlas mason jar I already had promised to be the ideal vase for my festive bouquet.

Faux Florals for the Win

Given my less-than-green thumb, faux florals are my secret to enduring and effortless holiday charm. Not only do they offer a forgiving alternative to their perishable counterparts, but they also promise to grace our Christmases for years to come without a single droop or wilt.

The Joy of Simplicity

This experience has been a gentle reminder that Christmas decor doesn't need to shout to be heard. Sometimes, the most profound statements come from the simplest touches. A vintage mason jar filled with carefully chosen blooms can carry the essence of Christmas as beautifully as any grand display.

Simple & easy Christmas decorating using old mason jars & Dollar Tree flowers! So here's to finding joy in the little things, to decorating that speaks to our souls, and to creating a holiday haven that feels just right. Remember, Besties, in the cozy workshop of life, it's the simple, loving touches that make the most significant impact. 🎄✨💕

I’ve been off to a super slow start when it comes to decorating for Christmas this year.  I just can’t get into it!  I needed something simple to ease into the Christmas decorating & I think I found it with these decorated mason jars!

Simple & easy Christmas decorating using old mason jars & Dollar Tree flowers!I showed you one of my jars last week in my ‘Dollar Tree Christmas Decor’ post & decided to do it again!  I loved the easy Dollar Tree floral arrangement so I went back for more flowers.  This time I went all out & picked out 3 bouquets!  2 white poinsettias & a red filler.  I found an old Atlas mason jar & thought it would be a perfect vase.

I don’t have a green thumb at all, so fake floral is the way to go for me!  I love that I can also use these for years to come!

I’m finding out that Christmas decorating doesn’t always have to be extravagant!  Simple touches can make a huge impact!
