Greenhouse decorated for autumn | On The Creek Blog // www.onthecreekblog.com
The greenhouse is decorated for fall!

I think one of my favorite things about having the greenhouse is that I can decorate it for the seasons.

This fall is the first real season I could decorate the greenhouse.  I tried to keep it super simple by using items I already had.

I got the planters on super clearance from Wal-Mart in late summer & I love them.  I was so happy that I didn't have to wait until next year to use them.

The mums were also a great price from Wegmans.  I usually have a difficult time keeping mums alive but they are thriving this year.  At the end of the season I'm going to try to plant the mums in the ground to see if they come back next year.  We're not in the correct planting zone to make mums perennials but I'm going to try!

A Simple Fall Porch | On The Creek Blog // www.onthecreekblog.com

Check out my super simple last minute fall front porch using yard sale finds!

Happy Halloween!

I know I’m super late with the whole ‘fall porch’ trend, but better late than never, right?!

Honestly, I didn’t even know that I was going to do a fall porch until yesterday anyway!

The thing about our porch is that it isn’t a true front porch.  Our steps don’t run straight down like a normal porch.  Actually, lets back up a little bit…before we bought our house, our front porch didn’t even have a set of steps.  It was just doors that led to a porch.  No steps at all.  The entrance to the house was the side door with a tiny porch.  One of the first things we did when we purchased our house was to add steps to the front.  The easiest way to accomplish this was to just take off the railing & add steps to the side.
