Mason Jar Kitchen Storage

Using mason jars for storage in the kitchen.

I absolutely love my mason jar collection. The funny thing is, I didn't even realize I had such a "collection" until I started going through them!

I've acquired a lot of mason jars from yard sales over the years because I'm into canning & believe that I can never have too many jars! The jars were stored in my basement until they could be used for canning.

As I mentioned in this post, I'm going into serious organizing mode, so to both organize & distribute my stuff throughout my house, I went through my mason jar collection.

I found so many cute jars! I also just realized how many half-gallon jars I have. 

I'm super into the apothecary look right now & that's reflected in my kitchen storage. I literally put all my various kitchen ingredients into mason jars!

I love how I can display the jars & still make them useful. Mason jars are an excellent option for kitchen storage as they come in various sizes and are versatile. For example, you can use them to store dry ingredients, like flour and sugar, or liquids, like homemade dressings and sauces. I always use a new lid & label the contents of the jar. As you can see, I have a lot of white baking sugars & salts, so it's super essential to label them.

Another great thing about mason jars is that they are airtight. They're also easy to clean, so if I go in another direction with my kitchen storage & decor, I can still use the jars for other purposes.

While I love the look of my mason jar storage, I also love that everything I need for baking is easily available. I'm all about making my life easier these days, so I like that I don't have to go searching for ingredients!
