Here's What We Planted In The Garden | 2020

Here's what we planted in the garden this year!

We planted a lot this year in the garden & I wanted to make a post to document everything!

We didn't intend on having a big garden this year but it just worked out that way!  Our old tomato seeds did really well & we ended up with a lot of tomato plants!

The old seeds took a while to grow, so thinking nothing was happening, I went & bought more tomato seeds.  Then everything started growing all at once!  I did notice that the new seeds matured a lot faster than the older seeds, but everything seems to be doing alright.

We ended up having a lot of tomato plants left over that we gave away.  Next year, I might try selling plants, but I just wanted them gone this year.  They were taking up my entire worktable in the basement & I want to work on projects so they had to go!

We bought a flat of various pepper plants for a local greenhouse.  It was getting too late to plant our own.  The greenhouse had a good variety when we went so we decided to just use those.  I'd like to try to plant my own peppers next year, though!

When it was time to plant, we found we had a few rows left over so we planted some old seeds we already had.  We'll see what happens with them!

We're going for a pumpkin patch this year so we planted lots of pumpkin seeds in various locations in our yard.  My husband kept buying pumpkin seeds so we should end up with about a million pumpkins this year!

We also planted lots of corn, both new seeds & old seeds we already had.  I love decorating with corn stalks in the fall, so I'm anxious to see what will happen!  I also can't wait to freeze some corn like I did last year!

We skipped over planting cucumbers last year, but they're back this year!  We also added quite a few different squash varieties.  There were a lot of old seeds, so we'll see if they grow!

Here's what we planted this year:

(I tried to make this as complete as possible.  A lot of seed packets got lost in the mix so I'm not exactly sure on some varieties!)
