Roses 2020

Our roses are in full bloom!

The climbing roses we planted last year are starting to bloom this year!

As I mentioned in my spring yard walk post, a couple of the rose bushes we planted last year died.  I'm happy that these climbing roses made it!

I wanted to put some rose plant food on them but I never got around to it this year.  Luckily, they seem to be doing well.

I never saw myself as someone who has a lot of flowers & a huge garden, but here I am!

This year, I'm trying to work the roses into climbing a couple chairs.  They were originally supposed to climb the fence we put up, but they just weren't doing it so we're trying this.  They're not doing a lot of climbing right now, so we'll see how it goes in the future.

They're not quite tall enough to start shaping into the chairs but they're getting there!

Establishing perennials is such a long process!  Waiting for things to take off can be so tedious but I'm sure it will be beautiful in the end!
