I enjoy browsing Reddit & love finding new subreddits to look through.
One of my latest finds has been the Old_Recipes subreddit.
When I first started looking at the subreddit, I kept seeing the same recipe made by different users over & over:
It looked easy enough to make so I thought I’d try it.
Here are my thoughts:
Don’t hate me, but I personally wasn’t a fan of the Peanut Butter Bread…on its own. I put strawberry cream cheese on a slice & ended up liking it a lot better. I also saw it made into French Toast & I think that would be awesome too! It was just a little too bland on its own! If I make it again, I might add some things in the mix (chocolate chips, nuts, etc.) to give it a little more flavor.
I have a ton of old cookbooks that I need to dig out & mark up a bunch of new (to me) recipes that I want to make. I found my absolute favorite pie crust recipe from an old cookbook!
With Pinterest in existence, it’s been really easy to find new recipes, but there’s just something about finding a recipe in an old cookbook that I love!
