Happy fall!

I’m super behind this year on my fall decorating!

I usually have my fall decor setup out by September 1st, but this year I’m so behind!  All I have are wreaths on the doors & some (dying) mums!  I need to get to the basement & get my fall stuff out ASAP!

I normally do fall decor during September.  I then switch to Halloween decor during October & back to fall decorations in November.  I’m so behind this year that I just might have to start at Halloween & go to fall in November!

I did manage to create one fall home decor piece though!  This centerpiece for our dining room table!
I found this little crate a couple weeks ago at a local Goodwill!  I thought it was super cute & I could use it for something.  During the same trip, I picked up a couple other small crates like this one.  They aren’t quite as cool as this one, though!  This one is definitely my favorite!

After hanging out in the basement for few days, I decided to use the crate to make a fall centerpiece!
I have tons & tons of mason jars, so I started there!  I was going for a simple vibe.  I picked out 3 mason jars that I could use as vases for inside the crate.

Once I had my vase setup, it was time for floral!  I knew I wanted sunflowers!  I’ve never really been the biggest fan of sunflowers, but this year, they’re my jam!  It’s so weird how my tastes change!

I headed to Dollar Tree for my floral because their prices can’t be beat!  Floral can be super expensive!  Although Dollar Tree floral isn’t the most realistic, it does the job for simple projects like this!

I picked up sunflowers in varying colors & a few filler pieces to go in between.  I then arranged the flowers & put them in my vases.  I was concerned I didn’t have enough flowers, but I think they fill out the vases well!

I actually surprised myself with this little project.  Usually, I’m over the top on the things!  I like to push the limits on decorating almost to the point of being too much!  I actually scaled it back quite a bit with this!  I could have filled the vases or crate with something around the flowers but I kept it simple!

Hopefully this will give me a jumpstart into fall decorating!
