If you remember, I came close to having a framed corkboard, but I used it to frame my calendar instead.  That frame fit my calendar perfectly, so I couldn’t miss that opportunity…

But I still didn’t have my framed bulletin board!  I wanted a place to pin all the things!

When I found an empty frame at a yard sale, I thought it would be perfect for creating a bulletin board!

I didn’t feel like painting it, so I left it as-is.  This is the first project in forever that I didn’t paint!  I did attempt to distress it a little, but ended up scratching & scuffing it all up, so I stopped & left it the way it was.

Then it was time to install the cork board. You have no idea how difficult it is to find cork board where I’m at!  If I had to do it all over again, I would have bought a cork board that was already framed, ripped the frame apart, & put the cork board in my frame!  That would have been the easiest route to go.  Instead, I searched & searched for plain cork board!

I finally settled on a cork board roll from Office Max.  I actually wanted something a lot thicker, but the cork board roll was the best I could find. I was DONE looking around for cork board!

Luckily, my frame already had a backing, so we cut the cork board roll to size & adhered it to the back of the frame.  It made the cork board somewhat thicker.  I did notice a little rippling when everything dried, but it’s staying together for the most part!  Besides, the cork board will soon be covered in paperwork anyway, so I’ll never notice the ripples.

I found some super fancy gold push pins at Meijer that I’ll be using to pin my papers to the corkboard!  They’re the cutest!

I put the bulletin board on the corner wall beside my calendar. There are still a couple of things I want to do to this little command center area, but I'm super pleased with it so far! As I've said before, our home is super choppy when it comes to wall space, so I have to get creative!
