The Squirrels Of Niagara Falls

 

The squirrels of Niagara Falls, New York!

Last week my husband & I took a day trip to Niagara Falls, New York.  We live about 3 hours from the falls so it was a nice little trip.

I love going to Niagara Falls in the off season.  During our first year of dating, my husband & I went to the Canadian side in August.  There were so many people & everything was so expensive.  We paid way too much for a hotel room but we had a lot of fun.

I've been to both the Canadian side & the US side in the winter & it's a totally different vibe.  It's also super cold!  My husband & I went to a concert in Niagara Falls, NY in February & it was so cold & icy!

Okay...so now about the squirrels!

When you go to Niagara Falls in the winter, you can pretty much park anywhere.  We parked in a parking lot & walked around all over by the falls.  I started noticing a lot of squirrels in a park area.  So instead of taking a million pictures of the falls like a normal person, I was more interested in the squirrels!  They were hanging out in the park by the Hard Rock Café. They were the first wildlife we encountered on our trip & we spent a ton of time taking pictures of them!

The park has a lot of mature trees that the squirrels love to run around on!

If you ever visit the area, I would definitely recommend seeing if the squirrels are out & about! They’re super fun to watch!
