I only got in 4 workouts last week.

But here are my jams!

These jams are a little different than normal because this workout was a total impromptu one.  It was late in the evening and I had my headphones on just listening to music when I decided to finally get my workout in.  I just hit shuffle on the playlist I was listening to and this is what came out.

I thought it would be fun to share my weekly workout jams!  My taste in music is kind of weird – I like listening to the same songs over and over again.  I’m also not very hip so there’s not a lot of new songs on here, but I will say that It Ain’t My Fault by Brothers Osborne is one of my new favorites.

I also had high hopes in working out all 7 days, but I only did Monday-Friday.  Maybe this week?  Haha.

So…why so many Blame It On Waylons?  When I went to add the original Waylon, I found these covers and wanted to check them out, so it kind of became my Blame It On Waylon workout!

My Workout Routine | On The Creek

I’ve mentioned before that I’m super competitive about everything my fitbit steps, but they’ve taken quite a hit lately.  Since the beginning of the year, with my new lifestyle change, my step count has gone down in a huge way.  It used to be nothing for me to get 10,000+ in a day and now it’s a constant struggle to get those steps in.  Last week, I finally decided to do something about it and started a little workout routine.

So what do I do to workout?  Well, I’m just…moving.  I make up these little playlists that are about 20-30 minutes each and just dance around or do moves that I remember from various workout videos I’ve done in the past.  I constantly move for 20-30 minutes without stopping.  I try to pick fast songs that are easy to dance to and slower songs to cool down at the end when I get tired.   Maybe it’s not so much a “workout routine” and more of a “get up and get moving routine”!  Even though it’s not much, I feel better throughout the day when  I get my little workout in.  It’s also an easy way to get a lot of steps in a short amount of time.

Since I knew I was posting this today, I try to do a slightly more difficult workout this morning.

And here’s my playlist for today.  I usually throw these things together in just a couple minutes based on what songs I like and/or can workout to.

My Workout Jams | On The Creek

Today was a country day, but last week I did my workout to all ‘90s hits!

So there’s my little workout routine!  It’s not scientific by any means, but it gets me up and moving for a few minutes a day!
