Ace of Hearts Anthurium | 1 Year Update

Ace of Hearts Anthurium // 1 year update | On The Creek Blog
You all seemed to really enjoy my Ace of Hearts Anthurium when I posted it last year, so I thought I’d give you a little update!

I’ve had my Anthurium for just over a year now.  So far, it’s still doing great!  It’s constantly producing flowers.

Because I still haven’t transplanted it into a larger flower pot, it has been growing upward instead of outward!

The Ace of Hearts Anthurium is my first houseplant, & overall, I think it’s doing quite well!

It has a lot of beautiful flowers on it right now.  There are little flowers starting at the bottom as well.

We have a huge bay window that the Ace of Hearts Anthurium sits in during the day.  Because it’s been colder at night, we usually put it on the kitchen table when we pull the curtains at night.  I don’t want it to get too cold.

One thing I’m super nervous about is transplanting.  It’s getting to the point where it will need to be transplanted.  I went back over my anthurium care guide & one of the links says to repot every two years, so hopefully my plant can wait that long!  It seems to really be thriving in its little flower pot, so I’m going to push it as long as I can!

For some reason, I thought it was super difficult to transplant.  In going over my guide again, I realized it will only take a potting & orchid soil mix to transplant.  I’m still super worried about what’s going to happen when I transplant it!
