Seed Starting 2020 | Tomato Varieties We Planted

I shared our seed starting adventures yesterday & now I want to show you what seeds we planted!

Because we used what we already had, we got quite the variety of tomato seeds:  beefsteak, snaking, paste & storage.

I think this is the perfect introduction to planting tomatoes from seeds because of the variety!

I can also see what kinds I like!

Here’s a close up of the varieties:

Burpee’s Long KeeperThese tomatoes will stay fresh for 6-12+ weeks after picking!

I’m using this year as sort of a trial run to see if I want to plant a garden from seeds next year.

I’ve already been obsessing over all the seeds on the Burpee website!  One thing that would make me want to start seeds again next year is the variety.  When going to greenhouses, you’re limited to the varieties that they grow.  In growing my own seeds, I can choose whatever I want to plant.  Of course, it’s a lot more work, so I’ll have to see where I'm at next year!

If all of these seeds become plants, I’m going to need a lot more tomato cages!
