We Have Grapes

Our grape vines have grapes!

During our first summer in our home we planted various varieties of seedless grape vines.

I had a great grape vine at my childhood home & I wanted my own grapes at our new home.

Over the last 5 years, I've watched our vines mature & spread out along the small fence we planted them on.

The vines never produced any grapes though!  It was weird not to have any grapes whatsoever after 5 years.

I gave up on them ever producing any grapes.  I know some grape vines take a long time, but 5 years is a really long time!

Then, one day my husband saw the vines were finally producing grapes!

I looked over the vines briefly & saw some little grapes coming on.  I didn't realize just how many grapes there are until I went to take pictures for this post.

There are quite a few grapes after not producing anything for 5 years!

It has been so long that I even forgot what we planted!  The only thing I know is that all the varieties are seedless.  I can't wait to see what they all are!

Because the grape vines are part of our garden aesthetic, we're letting them grow wild instead of pruning them. I hope they continue to grow even more as the years go on!
