I’m gathering some rustic headboard inspiration!
I really want to make a rustic headboard!
We got our current headboard when we first got married. It was part of a cheap bedroom set we picked up from Wal-Mart. We outgrew the set a long time ago (the dresser & nightstand are both in our spare bedroom upstairs!), but the headboard is still hanging on!
Here’s what our headboard looks like currently:
I’ve been wanting to do something about our headboard for a while now. A few months ago, we moved our bedroom downstairs. It got me thinking about how old the headboard is & it’s time to change it out or give it a makeover!
Our current headboard has good bones. I think it’s possible to use our headboard as a base for creating a rustic one.
Now the question is what do I want to do? As always, I took to Pinterest for inspiration! I even created a Pinterest board where I’m sure I’ll be pinning lots of rustic headboard goodness!
Because we’re so busy, I’m sure this project is a little ways off, but it doesn’t hurt to gather inspiration! Here are a few rustic headboards I’m loving right now!
I love how chippy this is! Even though I want the rustic wood look, I could see myself painting it chippy!
The dark stain is really awesome!
I like how the boards are vertical! I don’t think it would work in my space but I love it!
Herringbone pattern is my favorite but this pallet headboard is gorgeous!
Another pallet headboard! I love the vertical here! It isn’t too overwhelming!
I can’t believe this headboard was made from wood shims! Gorgeous!
This is super fancy, but I love it!
It’s a good thing we’re a little ways from stating this because I can’t decide which style of rustic headboard I like best!
