Aaand it’s Saturday! Time for another ‘link love’ post! I know I say this every week, but I love putting these posts together! There are so many creatives out there & I love seeing what they come up with!
What are you up to this weekend? After a bad couple of weeks, I’m hoping just to relax & calm down a little bit! One of our dogs is having some health problems & it’s been quite stressful. He still has a few more issues that need to be taken care of, so I’m hoping for the best. Also, a family member has been going through some health issues as well, so it’s been a trying couple of weeks.
Enough with the sadz…here’s what I’m loving this week:

An homemade blueberry pie! Fresh blueberries, white wine & a homemade crust make this pie irresistible!
We went blueberry picking last weekend. I never realized how tedious blueberry picking actually is! It takes so long just to get a small amount a blueberries! It also didn’t help that I chose one of the hottest days of the year! My husband & I were actually going grocery shopping when we passed a “U Pick Blueberries” sign. Of course, we followed the sign all over the countryside until we arrived at a wonderful farm. We then spent the next hour or so picking blueberries & sweating profusely!
Complaints aside, it was all worth it because the blueberries were used in this amazing pie.
This pie is completely from scratch, which is a first for me. When I worked in retail, I had a customer tell me all about her homemade apple pies. She then asked how I make pies & I had to admit that I used a pie filling in a can. She left me in the dust after that! In my defense, I never knew how easy it actually is to make pie filling. Not to mention it tastes so much better too!
For the crust I used a homemade pie crust recipe I found in one of my vintage cookbooks. It worked out perfectly. If you don’t have a homemade pie crust that you love, check out Ali’s post on the perfect pie crust. It’s life changing!
The pie filling is modified from Tieghan’s Mulled Cherry Bomb Pie recipe. I used white wine instead of red & 1/2 cup more brown sugar. It came out so good. The white wine I used had a more mild flavor with the blueberries, which I enjoyed.
As you can tell by the pictures, I have no idea how to crimp the edges of the crust! I just did the best I could to make sure the filling stayed in the shell! It had a small overflow, but it wasn’t as bad as I expected!
Even though making a pie homemade is a time consuming activity, I think it’s worth it! I’ll definitely be making more homemade pies from now on!

I couldn’t believe I forgot to add ‘road trip’ to my summer bucket list post!
Spontaneous road trips are my favorite. I love hitting the road without a specific destination. Road tripping that way leads to so many random & cool adventures!
Of course, when I just randomly travel across the map, I miss out on a lot of sights! Whenever I come home from a road trip like that, I like to open up Google Maps & see the big picture of where I’ve been. I end up finding so many cool places nearby that I could have visited.
I needed to find a balance between spontaneity & seeing the sights.

Happy Sunday!
We had so much going on this weekend! I couldn’t skip out on my favorite weekly post, though! I usually write these posts before the weekend but this week I procrastinated too much, so here I am with the post on a Sunday instead of its usual Saturday! But there are a ton of great links this week, so I guess it’s worth the wait!

Since it's #throwbackthursday, I thought it would be fun to take a trip back to last autumn...
Remember my fall ‘display’?
I wanted to spruce up the space on the side of our house so I gathered up my sewing tables & put pumpkins on them! I thought it looked super cute for being such a last minute idea.

Happy Saturday!
My blog posting has been nonexistent lately! Sorry about that! I’m in the middle of an intense writer’s block & it makes me so mad! It is totally the WORST! It’s so weird that I can sit here & write without any problem some days & other days I can’t find the right words!
I was contemplating not even doing this week’s ‘link love’, but there are just SO MANY good links that I couldn’t resist! I’m happy that other bloggers aren’t having the same writing problems I am!
Here are the links & blogs I loved this week:

Happy Saturday! What’s on your agenda for the weekend? We don’t have any real plans today!
Yesterday, we went to some yard sales & ran into my former coworker, who was hosting a yard sale! It was so nice to catch up with him! We might hit up some sales again today. I’ve become obsessed with yard sales this year & have purchased a ton of awesome things!
Whatever your plans are, I hope you have a great weekend!
Now on to my link loves this week!

Here’s a recap of what I posted on the blog in June!
I didn’t write as many posts last month, but it ended up being one of my best months ever for visits to my blog! I’m working on a ton of promoting techniques to really get the most out of my posts. I’m also working to make my posts better. Both things take a lot of time, thus the lighter posting.
So…now on to the posts!
