A little green end table that will be getting a makeover very soon!
I mentioned this before, but we’re in the middle of a huge basement reorganization project!
I’ll go into it a little more in depth in tomorrow’s post, but we’re pretty much removing everything from our basement & cleaning it up. I had soo many projects just hanging out in the basement that it was unreal!
In cleaning out the basement, there was room for my husband to make me a little workshop of sorts! It’s really just a big table near an outlet, but I’m calling it a workshop! Now I can go to the basement at my leisure & work on stuff! No more messes at the kitchen table forever!
The plan is to move my stuff into storage & bring pieces back one by one to work on them & get them completed. I hope to have a little pop up sale of my stuff during our annual yard sale in August! I’m not entirely sure how that’s going to work out since I have so much going on in my life at the moment, but I’m going to give it a try!

My first little project in my workshop is going to be this small end table. I picked the end table up from the Habitat For Humanity ReStore a few years ago now. It has been in my basement ever since! As I mentioned in yesterday’s post, it can sometimes take me a while to get started on a project & this was no exception, but I’m finally ready to get started on it.
As you can tell from the pictures, the end table is currently green. Like green everywhere. From the top to the bottom to the hardware, everything is green. I can tell by the paint pattern that the previous owner used green spray paint to cover the entire piece. I guess that’s cool, but I’m aiming for a more natural look.

To achieve a more natural look for the end table, I’m going to be using an electric sander to sand everything down. Depending on how well the piece sands down, I may have to paint some parts, but I really want a natural look. I really want to keep the hardware, so I just might spray paint it a different color!
I know it’s going to take a ton of sanding & I guess I’m here for it! Anything to make this piece look less green!
I’ll keep you updated on this project & how it turns out!
