Rustic Wood Headboards | ReStore Finds

Check out these amazing rustic wooden headboards I picked up from the Habitat For Humanity ReStore!


It’s been a long time since I’ve done a ‘ReStore Finds’ post, but I found these awesome headboards there & I had to share them!

I picked these headboards last week at my local Habitat For Humanity ReStore!  As you know, I’m a huge fan of the Habitat ReStore!  I get a ton of things there & I’m always excited to see what they have!  I’ve been eyeing up these headboards for a while & finally decided to buy them last week!

When it comes to buying furniture pieces, I’m usually fairly certain about them.  I don’t need a lot of time to think about things, but, for some reason, I needed time for these headboards!  I’m so glad that I finally got my act together & got them though!

I’ll talk more about this later, but I’m in the middle of redecorating my house.  I think I’ve finally discovered my decorating style & I’m running with it!  These headboards will fit perfectly into my ‘theme’!

I only photographed one headboard, but the other one is an identical match.  I actually think that they’re really a headboard/footboard set, but since they’re the exact same size, I’m using them as two matching headboards.

We have two twin beds set up in our upstairs bedroom & it was really important to me to have matching headboards for them.  When I finally decided to pick these ones up from the Habitat ReStore, I knew they would be a perfect fit.  They even have holes predrilled at the bottom to attach to the bedframe!  We’re hoping the holes can match up to our bedframe because it will make things so much easier!

The plan is to paint & maybe distress the headboards.  While I enjoy the rustic look, I also like painting things, so I’m going to paint them!  Any guesses on the color?  I’m going for a neutral theme in the room!

I’m currently in the middle of painting one of the headboards & I’m just loving it!  It’s actually not taking as long as I thought!  The paint is going on fairly easily.  I’m hoping to be completed with both headboards soon!  I can’t wait to show you the ‘after’ pictures & maybe more of the upstairs bedroom as it comes together!
