Sunflowers 2018

Here are pictures & the story of my 2018 sunflowers!

I honestly didn’t have high hopes for these sunflowers.

Last year, our neighbors gave us a few sunflower plants & they disappeared in our front garden!  I don’t know what happened to them!  Maybe some wildlife ate them?  Who knows…

So this year, I had an old sunflower seed packet that I just randomly planted to see if anything would grow.  After the failure of last year, I didn’t think anything would happen.  When the sunflowers started coming up, I still had my doubts.  Then they started growing…a lot!  It was then I knew that they would thrive in this space!

I actually ended up taking two separate sets of photos of the sunflowers.  I photographed the first set with this blog post in mind when the sunflowers were on the verge of opening up.  Well, the very next day, the flowers opened up so I had to get more pics!  They’ve all opened up now & they’re just so pretty!  Check out the full gallery of sunflower pictures over on my Facebook page!
